Medical & Prescription
Watts is pleased to offer you high-quality health care and prescription drug benefits. We invite you to learn about each of the options we offer and determine which one will best suit the needs of you and your family.
Medical
All medical plans are provided through UnitedHealthcare and include prescription drug coverage through Express Scripts — ESI. All plans provide 100% coverage for the following routine exams and diagnostic testing in accordance with published medical guidelines:
- Annual physicals & associated lab tests
- Well-woman exams
- Mammograms
- Additional screenings and immunizations
Save Money with In-Network Providers
Watts pays most of the costs for coverage and services for all providers, but you can keep your costs lower by choosing in-network providers.
Medical Plan Options
Health Savings Account (HSA) Options
Choose from two different high-deductible health plans with company-funded health savings accounts (HSAs).
Watts contributes:
- $200/year for Individual coverage
- $400/year for 2-Person or Family coverage
Contributions & Withdrawals:
- Make tax-free payroll contributions to the HSA to pay for out-of-pocket medical expenses, now or in the future
- Enjoy tax-free withdrawals from your HSA when funds are used to pay for qualified health care expenses
Keep your HSA funds:
- No “use it or lose it” provision — your HSA balance grows and rolls over from year to year
- Take your account with you when you leave Watts or if you change medical plans
The two HSA options have different deductibles, out-of-pocket limits, and payroll contributions; see the Benefits-at-a-Glance chart for details.
PPO Plan
Pay a predetermined fee (copay) for certain covered health care expenses, and the plan pays for the rest. For other services, you pay a deductible then a percentage of the cost (coinsurance).
- Select a primary care doctor to help guide your care (recommended, not required)
- Pay lower costs when you use in-network providers; coverage also provided for out-of-network providers, but you may pay more
- Choose which doctors to see and when — see a specialist without a referral
- Once you reach an annual limit on your payments (out-of-pocket maximum), the health plan pays your covered health care costs at 100%
