Eligibility
Understanding who’s covered is the first step in making the most of your Watts benefits. Here’s what you need to know about eligibility for you and your family.
Regular employees working at least 30 hours per week and their eligible dependents can participate in Watts benefits. Eligible dependents are:
- Spouse: former spouses and domestic partners are not eligible
- Dependent child*: any child born to you; a child legally adopted by you; or a stepchild
- Grandchild: who is considered your dependent for federal income tax purposes

* There are no age restrictions on any benefits for unmarried disabled children who are unable to care for themselves.
